I have never seen honey bees foraging on a can of soda. I got lucky one day. I am guessing that because in a desert city bees had no easy access to water. So they were just using it as a water source, not because it was sweet enough (since I have never seen it before, only wasps). One Vegas casino (I should have asked which one!) was giving out samples of the "1893 Pepsi") and I saw a bee there. She flew away when I tried to shoot. I waited for 2-3 min and another bee came. I got the photos! Right south of the Euclyptus kruseana flowers I shot a few min later. Too bad I did not have my big camera, but my Samsung S7 worked ok. Las Vegas, NV.
