Apis cerana is the Asian Hive Bee, or Asian Honey Bee, the counterpart of our bees in Asia. It is the only other managed species of honey bees, in addition to our bees (Apis mellifera).

Butterflies are also good pollinators. So are many moths, most moths fly at night but a few fly during the day.

Includes Apis florea and Apis andreniformis. Both species are taken at Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China.

Includes Apis dorsata, Apis breviligula. I have yet to see and shoot Apis laboriosa.
