Shot January 26, 2014, while visiting Dr. James Nieh's lab (UCSD). So James, being a well planned guy, ordered my taxi 3 hrs ahead of time. I started chatting with the driver, and he called the company to see if he had time to entertain me. After confirming that he had about 2 hours till the next guest, he offered me to drive around for sight-seeing...and then I saw bees foraging on poppies right in downtown! He graciously stopped the car to let me take some shots, which I promised to send him some. Then we had coffee and chatted. We became friends and exchanged emails. See, you just have to ask!
